About Me
I’m all about helping kids discover the joy of creativity and find their inner artist. With 18 years of experience teaching art to kids of all ages and skill levels—both live and online across multiple countries—I’ve seen how art can spark confidence and self-expression in the most amazing ways. I truly believe every day is an opportunity to learn something new, get creative, and have fun, and I’m here to help make that happen!
With a BA in Art History from NCSU, a love for all things nature and animals, and a knack for making art fun and approachable, I create a space where kids feel free to explore, experiment, and express themselves.
I believe art is about self-expression, growth, and turning mistakes into opportunities, much like the Bob Ross approach of embracing “happy accidents.” I help kids discover their unique artistic voice, encouraging creativity without rigid expectations.
I also provide a supportive space for children with special needs, ensuring every child feels valued and inspired to explore their creativity. At Artful Horizons, art is for everyone, and every child’s expression matters.
My goal is to inspire creativity, one brushstroke (or marker or crayon!) at a time, and to show kids that art is for everyone. Let’s make something beautiful together!

My classes are all about creativity, connection, and fun—designed to fit your family’s schedule and learning style! We offer live online classes where we connect in real time on an interactive platform, complete with step-by-step guidance and plenty of encouragement. These sessions turn your home into an art studio as we explore techniques, create nature-inspired crafts, and dive into hands-on fun together.
For those who prefer flexibility, we also offer pre-recorded, self-paced classes that allow your child to learn and create at their own speed, whenever it suits them. Or, if you want the best of both worlds, choose a combination of live and self-paced classes tailored to your needs.
